Empty Bowl Project

Mrs. Wilcox, our school's guidance counselor, the fifth grade teachers, and the fifth graders are using their creativeness to decorate bowls which will be used to raise money for the poor. OTES will host a supper before Christmas and the bowls will be exhibited then and for sale. Since the fifth graders are involved in an art lesson that involves drawing ancient Egyptian figures, they will be using ancient Egyptian patterns and subjects to decorate their bowls. They just started, but so far, so great!

While Anna smooths the edges of her green ware bowl, Isabel draws her grid for her Egyptian figure.

Kylii carves Egyptian designs to decorate the bowls. Ben, James, and Nate are using their amazing talent that will blow you away at the Empty Bowl Supper.

Good job, Ethan!

Kayleigh holds up the start of her design, which is awesome(sorry you can't see it. We'll post it again later.) Jaicee and Gage, looking good.
